Day 27

 Wowzers!

I kind of vanished there. I am going to admit here I am dead terrible at writing blogs. They are just not super high on my priority list so when something of a higher priority comes up these get moved down the list.

I am still carnivore!

I will give a numbers update:

Weight: 393.2 from 420.

Bloodsugar: 105

BP: 115/58

Stomach is down 3 inches.

I have been a lot more active, a lot happier and more outgoing. It has been a wonderful 30 days so far.

The journey continues

Day 14

Well I had a 4 day weekend for the Holiday. So I did not make any updates during that time as I tend to keep my laptop closed on my days off.

It has been going really good. I will give a numbers update tomorrow but I have made it to OMAD and am on the 3rd day of it.

I do not do much for the Independence day holiday, I like the holiday I just do not do much on it.

Carnivore still going strong! Tomorrow morning will be 14 days behind me so a big check in day at 2 weeks in. Today is Day 14 because it is the start of the 14th day.

So far I have been eating for OMAD - 2 eggs, 6 pieces of bacon, 4oz of New York strip. That has been filling me up and keeping me going for entire days coupled with my own fat stores. I was sleeping in a couple of hours later over my days off so I got up at my normal 0545 this morning which means I may have to break my fast a little earlier if I get too hungry this morning.

The Journey Continues!

Day 9

So to confirm an issue with cheese I did a ver specific experiment last night. I had cheese with my last meal, a different kind. Today no weight loss.

So yesterday I ate 12oz of steak for lunch with a little carnivore hollandaise (eggs and butter).

Then for dinner I had 3 eggs, a little turkey for extra flavor, and a little whole milk mozzarella cooke in butter.

I put this in My Fitness Pal. I ate 1718 calories. I lost zero weight. For me this completely debunks the calories in calories out dogma. My TDEE is 3000 calories a day. I cut 1300 calories off my TDEE I should have lost half a pound or so. Moreover I am convinced now that cheese pauses my weightloss.

I do not know what about cheese does this but clearly my body takes issue with something in cheese. There are several yeasts, molds, and bacteria in cheese. One of them must be to blame for the pause in weight loss. Anecdotal ... but it is still there.

To top that off my blood pressure cuff died this morning so I need new batteries for it putting a gap in my data. I hate data gaps.

The journey continues.

Day 8

Well here we are 7 days behind me.

Starting weight 420.

Weight today 410

Starting Blood Sugar 146

Todays Blood Sugar 110 though it has been in the 90s.

I ate cheese yesterday and while it was good and didn't cause any stress to my system. It raised my weight by .6 pounds, blood sugar by 11 points. So no cheese for me.

All in all its been a good week.

The journey continues.

Day 7

The dawn comes on the start of Day 7.

Yesterday went well. Numbers report tomorrow. I fasted longer yesterday by skipping breakfast and then eating closer to lunch. I broke my fast at 11. So 14 hours yesterday. Not quite to 16:8 yet but I am getting there it is still tough for me to fast that long as my body is quite hungry when I wake up but I am forcing it to use my own fat stores for energy.

Tomorrow is one week and I have a checkup with the doctor as well.

The journey continues ...

Day 6

 Day 6 begins.

Working on fasting through breakfast today and not eating until lunch. I want to try to give my body as much time as it can to heal and use its own fat stores as energy.

Still going strong on Carnivore. Really it has been unremarkable so far, I am getting around better. Some of the muscle and bone pain have subsided which is nice.

Bought an electrolyte supplement but I an reticent to use it even though I checked it's ingredients. I have consumed nothing but water from Thursday and I have been doing good with that. I would hate to screw up my shift away from soda less than a week into it.

I digress.

The journey continues.

Day 5

I tend to avoid my computer or at least my MacBook on the weekends so I did not do an entry for Days 3 or 4.

However, Day 5 begins.

Still going strong on Carnivore no slip ups. Had a piece of cheese on Saturday as a treat. Also went on a drive to get out of the house.

Had Lamb last night for dinner, oddly I wanted steak.

Blood Sugar was 105 this morning so that is a pretty dramatic improvement since I started. I feel really good. I am enjoying the diet if thats believable.

The journey continues.
